It has taken me a while to get round to reading this book with covid and one thing or another - what a mistake that was it has made me smile and cry at the same time with the honesty and emotion that the characters in the book portray. I will be telling the book club I am in to read it straight away!
This book shares the trauma and emotional rollercoaster of breast cancer, not only for the person involved but also their family and friends and it is so uplifting to see that there is a community to be part of and many people known and unknown to help lift you to the treatment finish line and beyond.
I know breast cancer survivors and I will now look at them with renewed respect and awe. I hope that this book leaves people thoughtful and ready to be whatever their friends and loved ones need them to be in their time of need.
It almost makes me want to take up running…..
