I loved this book - despite the more serious subject matter it was light-hearted and genuine. The main character, Keira, is fantastic. Her life is complex, with work, marriage, children and then suddenly, cancer. I think because the author herself experienced cancer diagnosis and treatment, the range of emotions felt genuine and the reality that cancer doesn't happen at a convenient time was really impactfully presented. More than anything though this is a story about genuine friendship. Childhood friendships and forming new friendships as an adult. It's about loving your friends, wanting the best for them and doing anything to help them in their time of need. All of Keira's friends bring something different to the table and all of them are fantastic in their own ways. If I had to name one thing that I'll take away from this book, it's the importance of friendship. I'd recommend this book to everyone as an enjoyable, emotional and fun read.
