Keira is happy, life is good with no bumps in the road in sight.
Then one day her world comes crashing down in the space of an hour in a consulting room.
For Keira has just been diagnosed with breast Cancer.
She can't understand or process why her?
Not dealing well with this devastating news she is just in a daze.
Then she meets a lady called Tamsin, she too has Cancer.
But she is one determined and feisty woman, this inspirational lady sets up a "Cancer ladies running club."
She invites Keira to join them, reluctant at first, Keira finds she is loving the exercise and camaraderie.
It's given her a boost and a new found will and strength to come back and fight this thing hard.
She feels she has regained control of her life and made new friends along the way.
The next thing now is to train for a charity race but is Keira up for THAT challenge...?
I throughly enjoyed this, so emotional and yet full of love, friendship and hope.
It teaches us that life is unpredictable, the power of friends through adversity and that you have to grab and live every moment you can.
One of my best reads this year so far.
