The cancer ladies running club had me totally hooked from the opening page. It starts at new year when kiera is celebrating with her family and friends thinking she has a perfect life and nothing can get in the way, however just around the corner comes a diagnosis of breast cancer. The news is devastating to kiera and her family although they are very supportive. Keira finds herself sat on a bench outside the hospital one day after an appointment and it is there she meats another women also battling breast cancer. She invites kiera to join her running which she takes her up on and then kiera comes across another two women who are also going through treatment and they end up getting involved with the running. Then the cancer ladies running club in born. All these ladies are at different stages of there fight again the disease and the way they are fighting it is very inspiring. This is a very happy, sad and emotional rollercoaster of a book.
