Oh it was so good! I couldn't put it down! One of my favourite reads this year!
Right from the start, I was hooked. The idea of having to host a prisoner (and not only that, the one that killed your husband) in your own home seemed completely bizarre to me and I wasn't sure if the story plot was going to work. After a while though, I became fully into it and really wanted to find out whether Jem was actually telling the truth or if not, what he was upto. To be honest, I thought there would be a much more intricate web of lies on Jem's part, but I was very much surprised by the involvement of people that I didn't expect in the shocking events. I was able to predict some of the twists in the story and had an idea of roughly what would happen to Jem and Hannah in the end. I'll be passing this Book on to a friend with a positive recommendation and will be googling the author to see what else is available to read!
