This is set in the not too distant future. Criminals are placed in cages inside their victim's homes to do their time. So when Hannah's husband is killed, his murder has to live in a cage in Hannah's kitchen.

I really love the concept of this and the first few chapters were really good. Jem, the prisoner, insists he is innocent and didn't commit the crime. I really liked the way that Jam and Hannah interacted at first. Hannah starts to believe Jem, about being innocent and learns a few truths. And that maybe he husband was hiding things from her.

Then it started to go downhill. Hannah started having feelings for Jem and it started to get unbelievable. I mean she is supposed to be devastated that her husband has been murder, then the next thing we know she is swooning after Jem. This really let the book down.

Enjoyed reading how Hannah tried to uncover the truth about her husbands' murder, but it all went to post for me. The ending wasn't too bad. It's an ok read, but I was a little disappointed as this could have been so much better and I really loved the premise of this.
