I wasn't sure whether I was going to enjoy this book as it's not the usual type of books that I read. But I really enjoyed reading this and getting to know the main characters and how their individual stories are revealed through very skillful storytelling.
The story centres around 5 main characters Aiden a teenage boy who is not getting on well socially at school so lives a fantasy life through online gaming which threatens to take over his reality. His twin sister Diane who has problems with her weight and self esteem issues and their mother Kerry a single parent who is trying to keep her children safe and her family together. Then we have Collin who is a genius artist but at the point we meet him is just drifting through life until he meets Nina the daughter of the man who invented the sinister online gaming platform.
This a story which intertwines between the different characters with the sinister Arcadia game lurking in the background and having an effect on the characters in one way or another.
This was written really well and draws you into the story gradually and at a steady pass and was a really great read
