Books of this genre are not really a usual I would pick up, but I'm always looking for new different books and have read and enjoyed a few in the past.
Receiving the book I didn't notice that it was a 6th in a series but luckily it was easy to understand without reading the previous 5 books.
The writing style of Nicola Pryce was interesting and never felt long, stretched or unnecessary.
The main character, Madeleine, was a strong lead, keeping the reader interested and rooting for her to find out the truth., a well written character in all.
It never got slow or boring at any moment which is a big thing when reading books, luckily this one kept me reading, being light and easy going also helped get through the story.
The book is a good historical fiction story with an interesting plot, highly recommended to any lover of historical fiction, or someone trying to get into it.
