“This is what you wanted, isn’t it?” he asks. “What you sacrificed everything for. Go on. It’s all yours.”

I started reading this book last month and stopped because I wasn't extremely interested in it. I'm SO glad I picked it up again.

The world is extremely well built along with a fair amount of spying, along with royalty of course. I love when an author is so descriptive that I can picture little details.

Cardan is someone who you hate, but then immediately start to get to love him. I felt like he had an interesting and well thought out character story.

Jude is someone who's selfish, but you can't help but want for her plans to succeed. On the other hand, her sister is a piece of work, who I hate and will probably continue to hate, along with Locke.

I think it's amazing how descriptive an author can be can make you feel such strong emotions for certain characters, that's how I know I'm reading an amazing book by an amazing author.

I immediately need the second book, and right now, 2019 seems VERY far away.
