I loved this series and this book! They are enchanting and promising, and I cannot wait to read the latest one 'Queen of Nothing.'
Holly Black created such a captivating world, that reminds of childhood fairy tales, mixed with the harsh life of a royal. I also loved the fact there are some drawings and a map at the beginning, which help visualise the story even more.
The writing is compelling, modern and incredibly suggestive. The characters are described wonderfully and clearly throughout the book, and also consistently.
I quite enjoyed this book and the previous one, and I believe Holly Black is a marvelous writer.
I really advise to read 'the Wicked King' and 'the Cruel Prince' to anyone who loves fantasy books.
