I’m a great fan of the Maeve Kerrigan Series and this first impression shows why. Straight in to a great opening with a hand being discovered in the river along with some small parts of the body. Whose hand is it, how did it get there, where is the rest of the body? Hooked from the very first sentence and even more so as this first impression progresses! I just need to read more.
Great to see there is a new man in Maeve’s life and interested to see how this develops, and what if any impact it has on the quite unique and bizarre relationship Maeve has with Josh Derwent. These books are always about just more than the murder(s) that Maeve looks into. I love them!
I like the cover for the book and makes me think, ‘okay what is happening at The Chiron Club, and why is it known as The Cutting Place; so this cover has me intrigued to find out more.
Clearly by hook or by crook I must read this new book about one of my favourite characters, and by one of my current favourite authors.
