Now that is a very sinister cover which complements the title with ease.

The opening is intriguing. Though some of it has a mundane classroom setting there is an very unsettling undercurrent, like the uncomfortable music which raises the hairs on your arms as it builds the tension in a horror movie.

It was with relief that I found a complete lightening of tone when I turned the page to start Chapter 1. Though this is a debut novel, only a talented and experienced writer can conduct emotional responses in a reader with such sure control.
