Justice Flanagan has just returned from Ireland and Europe where he qualified as a lawyer and then learned the early policing investigative techniques developed in Paris and London. He returns to a city in the middle of a dock side war between the Irish and the free Negros for work. Then young black girls are found murdered.
Justice is a well rounded character trying to make sense of his past and his relationships with friends and relatives now he’s an adult.
This is quite well written and the story keeps you involved but the ending leaves you feeling a little disappointed as you want more. Perfect set up for a sequel!
