The Dinner List focuses on Sabrina and a list she comprises with her best friend Jessica for the ideal dinner guests. From this dinner we are taken back in time to explore Sabrina's relationship with the other guests especially Tobias the great love of her life. We also meet her estranged father Robert as they attempt to figure out what went wrong between them.
The story was probably a bit drawn out for me but I loved reading about the complex relationships Sabrina had with the other dinner guests. What happened one of the characters was totally unexpected. The writing style of the author is very clever and to set the entire book over four hours is very inventive. The appearance of Audrey Hepburn for one night only is also very refreshing.
