Honestly, this book is not my usual genre. The cover is spectacular in person however. I was confused multiple times due to the back and forth of the plot but in the end it just made perfect sense to me. Emma was one of my favourite characters and honestly, I would have just preferred a whole story (almost like a biography) of just Emma herself. She had such a good character and she felt real to me. Phil was okay, but he was nothing compared to his grandmother.
In conclusion, I do recommend this book. Honestly, I do. If you dislike "historical" books like me, this is not for you. It drains on and on and sometimes you feel like DNFing it.
However, I'm glad I didn't DNF this book. The epilogue and the ending itself was good enough for me and it was a loving conclusion to this short paced book. Author, please. I need more Emma content in my life. She is amazing.
