Phil really wants to go on a trip during Cold War Eurpore but cannot afford it. So when his beloved grandmother determines to make one last trip to the places she lived as a young diplomatic wife, and to try to solve a mystery that has haunted her since the war, he offers to go with her...

This story is like a copy of the paper girl of Paris to me. I want to love it. I want it to be great, but I wish it didn't remind me so much of a paper girl of Paris. The characters were great, the grandmother's backstory was absolutely fantastic and I couldn't think of a way to change it for the better. I loved it but it was like a copy and paste to me, although the stories were very different.
This story is a great one for someone else to read, personally I would not read it again, based solely on the fact that it seems repeating. It is a truly amazing book despite my thoughts though.
