I was really hoping to enjoy this book but I just didn’t. It just felt too far fetched for it’s timeline. I did enjoy the sample and I was really looking forward to reading it but I just didn’t connect to the book in the way I had originally hoped I would. It’s probably my tastes have changed in regards to books but just not for me.
I do like books set around the wartime etc... normally but this one I felt was too much. It just needed less I think.
Praise to the author for trying to grip me with his words and I’m sorry it didn’t work for me but I would recommend this book to a selected audience. Maybe more those who prefer a historical spy crime/thriller book as apposed to other thriller books.
Overall, a disappointing experience for me.
