The cover is beautiful, eye catching and intriguing.

Losing my sight is one of those things that genuinely terrifies me, I would genuinely rather lose a limb than my vision.
This book details the emotion malfada experiences on the journey of losing her sight to a relatively rare disease.
The book is told from the perspective of Mafalda we learn how she works her way through what is happening to her with support from her family and the amazing school caretaker Estella who Has her own issues of which she is dealing with! Mafalda only really has one friend, her Cat Ottimo Turcaret, who she found as a kitten in the branches of the school Cherry Tree. A tree that symbolises her hopes and her losses; indeed she measures her failing sight by how far away she can see the tree.

Although this book is a saddening story it still feels like a hopeful book.

I finished this book so quickly due to the incredible story and the short length of the book. Paola Peretti is writing from experience and it shows how hopeful she is for her own future.

I would defiantly recommend this book but be ready for a rollacoater of emotions!
