Absolutely an eye-catching cover. The colours, the illustrations, the symbols are just mesmerising. That’s the main reason I picked this book from the shelf.

I didn’t have any intentions to read it, the story set up in 1612 didn’t really resonate with my preferences. And also, not being an English native, I thought I would find it difficult to understand, considering that period’s style of expression.

After more than a year I gave it a try and I never regret it.

The story develops nicely and attracted me to the point that I didn’t want to stop reading until I reached the end. The conflicts in this beautiful tale about women and witchcraft are built thoughtfully and for an era when being a woman isn’t an easy task, the outcome of the story is definitely surprising!

A book that made me acquainted with the destinies of some strong and wise women and I got an insight of the risky times our ancestors lived in.

I definitely recommend it! And for myself, I became a huge fan of the author’s style and looking forward to read her next books!
