I enjoyed reading this book.

Before joining Readers First, I would never have chosen to read books by Eileen Ramsay, Daisy Goodwin or Sheila Newberry. However, I have enjoyed reading them all and always feel that they have added to my knowledge of the times in which are set.

The Farm Girl’s Dream was originally published in 1997 as The Walnut Shell Days which I think is a much more appropriate title. It is mostly set in Dundee during the First World War although the story also Includes Paris, India, Mexico and the battlefront in France.

This story has a real ‘feel good’ factor and I am very glad I read it.
