This plot, set in the world of rare books and forgeries, has all the makings of a good thriller: a man found with severed hands who dies soon after in hospital, a relationship between the dead man's sister and a forger, and cryptic letters to the narrator. However, it didn't hold my attention as well as it should have because the characters were rigid and difficult to relate to.I'm trying to keep driving, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to complete it.I could only rated this 3 out of 10 stars because, the murder occurs right away, and then the story continues. He's got a couple of letters and that's about it halfway through. This was something I was hoping to enjoy. It's a book about reading, so it's bound to be interesting. The cover is appealing, so I can't think of anything else. I hate not finishing a book, but I believe that's what's going on with this one.
