I enjoyed reading this novel which is set in America and Ireland. It is the story of a murder where the victim has had his hands chopped off. We are transported to the dark side of the book world where forgery of authors signatures are rife. It is told in the first person by Will. Will is a forger who has decided to go straight, he also is married to Meghan who is the victims sister. I felt that because it is written in the first person we only know Will and what he is thinking. All the other characters seem to be very distant. I feel that Meghan is a mysterious character and we only can guess what she is thinking and what she knows. It is a bit of a slow burner where the mystery is concerned it focuses more about the book world which I thought was very interesting. It made me feel that this world is about money not the enjoyment of reading. I thought the book came to a satisfactory conclusion and there is another book in the series to read, which I will be purchasing.
