This is a thoughtful book on love families and growing up. It is based around the perfect mum dad and two kids Cassie and Erin and as the story unwinds Cassie has flash backs of her young life before her adoption and she starts looking for her genetic family . The perfect parents are found to have secrets that have not been shared with the family and it gets messy as Cassie finds a sister and a life that is far remote from her own comfortable stable environment. It is a sad but hopeful tale of what could have been and opportunities. The book finishes quite abruptly and this would make an ideal read for discussion in a book club as I am sure there is many different views and opinions for a debate
