I truly loved and adored this book just like I thought I would. After reading the Familiars by Stacy Halls earlier this year I was eager to read another one of her books, so I bought The Foundling.
The writing style was so easy to follow and really seamless especially when switching perspectives of the two women. I loved Bess and Alexandras story, it was devastating yet exciting, I couldn't put the book down.
I also really enjoyed the detailed description around London and more importantly the Foundling hospital, which often goes unnoticed but hold such an incredible and heartbreaking past. I learned things that I didn't know about what happened at the foundling hospital and I'm glad I did. All of the characters had such a complex and intriguing backstory and personality as though I really was there walking among them.
I really can't wait until Stacy Halls newest novel!
