I really enjoyed this and found it intriguing and interesting.
The style of writing was appropriate for the time it was based however occasionally it didn’t suit. The story was based in the 1700’s which at times it didn’t feel like the voice of those times.
The characters were likeable and interesting and had secrets which made the story gripping and intriguing.
I had never read a book by this author before but I will definitely be picking up a book by her again.
The plot was interesting and the secrets made you keep wanting to know more. The chapters were also a nice size and not too lengthy which can sometimes be off putting. But also not too short either meaning there was sufficient detail in the book that made it satisfying to read without being too much.
I also liked the book cover as it was pretty and attractive and made me want to pick the book up.
