I have got both positive and negative things to say about this book. Firstly I thought that it was a good idea for a novel and for me the ending was quite good and satisfying. I enjoyed the characters and the mystery of the French Girl it was done quite well. However I felt that the story dragged and I felt myself losing interest half way through and re reading pages because it became very repetitive. I thought the French detective was very strange and his character could have been developed more. His relationship with Lara was not really explained and I am sure would not be acceptable in a police investigation. However I have got mixed feelings because I needed to get to the end to see what happened.
