I have to admit it took a while for me to get into this book as it was a very slow start. The characters were easy to follow and were likeable. The storyline was a bit far fetched but this can work in a good written book. I think it did work in this story however I do think the writer should have brought into the beginning of the story written flashbacks from a mother’s point in of view, more detailed accounts of what occurred during the time in widow hills as opposed to popping in a report or copy of an email as a chapter. I think I’d have been more drawn into the story if that was the case. I didn’t see where the story was going at first:just a sleep walking lady who’s neighbour kept finding her. The last few chapters were where the story was told.
I have to say I also thought grammatically some sentences didn’t make sense. Certainly not as good as her previous read “the perfect stranger” I persevered with this book but nearly gave up a few times and glad I didn’t as twist in the ending wasn’t boring!
