I had heard of Megan Miranda before, but when I found a great copy of this, I was super excited to try her writing! The plot instantly hooked me, telling the story of a woman who was famous for a seriously scary life changing experience as a child. As an adult, Arden struggles to adapt to living like other adults are supposed to. Her sleepwalking and nightmares keep her up. When she one day wakes up with a body in front of her, weapon in her hand, and blood everywhere, she is horrified to wonder if she could have killed the man in her sleep. The plot was great, but I found the childhood incidental aspect of the plot to be super disappointing and far from interesting. I enjoyed Megan Miranda’s writing style and absolutely would read another book by her in the future, even if I found the climax and ending reveal to be less than exciting. I love her and will continue to read by her
