I went into this, not really expecting anything. All I remembered when I reserved this was that this was about a girl who went missing and her story afterwards. So, I started listening to this on a whim today when I saw my audiobook was available and I kind of forgot it was meant to be a thriller. Honestly, I'm glad I did this because if I went into this expecting an edge of my seat thriller, I might not have been as gripped.

But going in with zero expectations and in all honesty, being in a contemporary romance mood, I was super hooked to the mystery, to Olivia's character and of course, to working everything out.

I'm glad this was the case because I literally couldn't stop listening to this! I think the narrator does a great job although I will warn you that because this is written in first perspective, there were times where I struggled to differentiate between dialogue and inner monologue.

For the most part, though I thought was a great read with some shocking plot twists that I really enjoyed. I wasn't a fan of the ending. I wish we got an epilogue. (more spoilery thoughts in my Goodreads review on the ending)

Overall, would I recommend this? Yes, but I'd go into it not expecting much or maybe knowing that pacing can be slow. I thought it was fine because, like I mentioned, I am in a contemporary romance mood right now, and I think Miranda creates a wonderfully tense atmosphere.
