Although my initial impression of the book was positive I just could not get into this book at all. The writing did not flow as I would have wished and I actually gave up surprisingly quickly - which is unlike me. Usually, I will persevere until at least around half way through the book. However, with this book I just could not continue on.
That being said, books (and fiction/novels) in particularly are very subjective and I am sure that others will appreciate this book far more than I did. I do still like both the cover design and the premise of the story. However, the delivery of the story was not something I could buy into personally. I was hoping that things would develop as I read on, but alas, for me, they didn't.
I have still given this three stars in acknowledgment of its strengths and the fact this it may just be that this is 'not my cup of tea'.
