At first I found the book a little difficult to get into but after the first couple of chapters I was hooked. The characters are well written and the plot carries the reader along on a gripping journey through the novel. I liked the twists and turns which made the book hard to put down once I was caught up in the middle of the mystery.
I found that I couldn't relate to the main characters but that made the story a lot more enjoyable for me strangely , I liked that I felt like I was always on the outside looking in on the action, it made me more impartial and analytical, so I found myself constantly rethinking the plot and changing my view of the characters and the action. If thrillers are your thing this is definitely the book for you, packed full of action and subtle twists. It is a very clever and original book, very well written and perfect for those winter evenings in front of the fire.
