When I picked up this book, it was an understatement to say that I had low expectations. Crime and thriller books are not usually the books that I gravitate towards (I much prefer contemporary fiction/historical fiction) but I thought the premise seemed interesting so I decided to put my feelings aside and give the book the benefit of the doubt. Summer and Iris are sisters and the plot centres around them with a voyage on the yacht Bathsheba. I thought that the author dealt with the themes of toxic familial relationships and the repercussions that they can have in every walk and aspect of their lives. I found the premise started to disturb me more and more as the book went on and at one point I wanted to leave it down and not finish it. Overall not great but not the worst and I think if you like this genre then perhaps this book could be for you!
