As a young woman, it always excited me so much when a book focuses on the complexities and the dynamics of female friendship more than a romance. I love romance as much as the next person, but there is so much untapped potential in writing about young women and how intricate and layered and impactful those relationships are. As soon as I read the description and the extract I knew I was going to love this book. It reminds me of Dare Me by Megan Abbott, a book I devoured in one day, and also the work of E Lockhart who examines class and privilege and how that permeates our life and relationships. This book feels like the perfect, harmonious marriage between the two and I'm dying to read on!
