I claimed this one with my points and I am so glad I did. It is easily one of the best books I have ever read. I'm naturally a really slow reader. I was always that kid on school who needed an extra five minutes when you were given a chapter to read in class. But I flew through The Girls Are So Nice Here. I was completely sucked into this story and physically could not put the book down. I highly, highly recommend!

Firstly, the story was fantastic. So many twists and turns. I was constantly shocked by new revelations and unexpected twists. Had myself convinved that a particular character was dead, and then my jaw hit the floor when they turn up later on the book. Then the biggest twist, the involvement of a particular character in the main plot. I didn't think there would actually be a "murderer" per se. That really was a surprise. Honestly, I was gripped, continually surprised and really enjoyed reading this one.

Secondly, I loved the writing style that was used. The now and then back and forth really grabbed me. It kept you hooked because there were two stories running simultaneously and you had to get through part of one story to find out the next part of the other story. Even though both stories were related and ran together really well, it was like reading go very exciting stories on one. The Girls Are So Nice Here is so well written.

However as much as I loved this book, I have two issues. I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending. *SPOILER ALERT* I would have like Sully to get her comeuppance instead of being killed and I didn't want Poppy ending up with Adrian. I know Ambs did some horrible, horrible things. But I think she really had changed and I'd have like to have seen her and Adrian work things out somehow. I don't really think she should have went to jail.

Most importantly, I think this book should open with a trigger warning and include links and phone numbers for people to get help. There's some very graphic and upsetting details regarding suicide and self harm and it could be a real issue for some.

Despite these two issues, I can honestly say this is one of the most intense, and gripping books I've ever read. I loved it and I can't recommend it enough.
