I wouldn't say I enjoyed this book because it was very harrowing and upsetting to read. However it was very informative and uplifting in parts. I had never heard of this doctor and his good work. He was one of the kindest people at a time when you didn't know who to trust. It was also a love story between two people who were separated through the war but managed to keep their love alive. The suffering of the Jews in the Warsaw ghettos was just incomprehensible, how anyone could do those things to another human being is hard to digest, yet it still goes on in wars today. I thought that it was very well researched by the author and at the end she explains how she pieced it all together. A very interesting and informative read.
