I was introduced to S. W. Perry's writings from Readers First when I won a copy of 'The Saracen's Mark'. Although a weighty tome, I was unable to put it down and read the whole book during the dreary weekend. Importantly, I was able to enjoy it without reading the previous books in the series, so that should nto put anyone off engaging with this new text, but the books with their engaging coloured covers would make for a beautiful collection on any bookshelf. I would love the chance the next book in this historically placed series, set in 16th Century London but which explores many issues relevant to us today. Perry is an expert writer who produces engaging pieces of literature, and I image 'The Heretic's Mark' to be just as good as his previous works.
