I very much enjoyed the first books in this series and its safe to say that this most recent addition completely held up!
The historical aspects of the story were very interesting and the setting was perfect for the story of mystery and crime.
The narrative flowed at a good pace and i was invested in the story from page one. The author excellently develops the story and the characters with satisfying arcs that payoff greatly up to the thrilling climax.
I honestly hope there are further entries in this excellent seires of books and I wouldn’t hesitate to read another one………… or more!
The themes in the book are engaging and the writing is eloquent and rarely needlessly wordy. The descriptive skills of the author are excellent and i honestly felt as though i could see, hear and smell every second of the story.
