The Heretics Mark is not something i would usually go for, but i did give it a read to expand my reading and to become more knowledgable of other genres. I personally love reading books that aren't too common or books that people do not tend to give a shot to because of either the cover, the genre or simply because their unaware of the author. Im glad i took this first step to reading S. W. Perry's book and will definitely look into his other work 'The Serpents Mark'. I was aware of Perry as a journalist which is what potentially lured me into reading this novel. About the novel, it is set in the Elizabethan times where you are pulled along this journey that other characters experience, an amazing quality that a good book has is allowing the reader to feel like a literal part of the storyline, to engage and express emotions or react as if the protagonist themselves.
