After reading Amanda Mason's last book 'The Wayward Girls', I was extremely excited to have the opportunity to read 'The Hiding Place'. Once again, Amanda's writing did not disappoint, and I was hooked from the get go.

There's an element of pure eeriness throughout, just enough to make you want to check all of the rooms before you close your eyes at night. What I loved about 'The Hiding Place' was that the mystery of the culprit really did remain a mystery until the end, which for me, peaked my interest even more as there's nothing worse than guessing the ending halfway through the mystery. I mean I had my guesses, but just when I thought that I had cracked it I was completely wrong each time.

Nell and Maude's relationship really came to life, and I loved the bond they shared

Although there were some questions left unanswered, I thoroughly enjoyed this creepy, atmospheric read.

Thank you to Zaffre and Readers First for my copy of The Hiding Place in exchange for an honest review.
