This was one of the first books I read when my reading passion was reignited during lockdown.
I find too many crime / thrillers can become very samey but this one was very enjoyable.
There were good twists and turns along the way to keep you guessing, and a few out-loud “gasp” moments, especially towards the end.
Off the back of this book I have read more by the same author. The Catch and The Holiday are both very good reads without being too similar or blurring into one another. I would recommend either of these TM Logan books as a good holiday read, they’re easy to dip in and out of without losing track of plot or characters.
The story focuses on a small groups of characters so this allows for a decent amount of character development and also some back story which gives a good reason for characters to behave the way they do, the conclusion is believable because the characters act in a way that is conceivable and convincing.
