One of the few five star reads of this year. High praise indeed.
Wirtten in various styles, lists and plays and normal prose, this is storytelling at its best.
We meet many interesting and likeable characters along the way. The protagonist Ursula is an incredible woman. Her warm and witty voice draws you in and immediately gives you an attachment to her. She made me laugh and cry in equal measure.
I had to occasionally Google some of the language, which may be tedious for some but I enjoyed, it created a new level to the book.
An astonishing debut novel that has set the author a very high standard to meet in the future. One I will read over and over again and has pride of place on my bookshelf.
Everything about this was wonderful and I am in awe of this author and story. I cant wait to pick up every future book she writes, hopefully lots of them to come.
