This book seriously was an amazing read. It was full of twists and turns until the very end. I loved the “lord of the flies” theme that carried throughout it. The books shows the themes of humanity, abuse of power and the way knowledge can be superior to status and looks.
This book follows the view of Link, a geek who is at the bottom of the hierarchy in school. Then one day he goes to a “summer camp” and the plane crashes. Each person in the surviving group represents a different stereotype. This book shows how Link is put at the top of the hierarchy because he is able to survive with the knowledge he has. Rather then Sebastian (who was the most popular in school) is our down to the very bottom because of his lack of knowledge.
I really enjoyed this book because of the style it was written in (just like all of MA Bennett’s books). And I would recommend it to anyone!
