This was a well written book and a page turner. Jennifer's husband has left her for a younger model and her beloved job at the local museum is in danger. She feels very middle aged but has a good group of friends, a loving daughter and father who support her. They club together to fight the local council and eventually life turns around with the museum being turned into a gin joint. Jennifer also finds love with a local teacher who makes her realise there is life at 50!
This book is easy to read and really get you emotionally involved with the characters so you feel their pain and also delight when they get the right balance to make the perfect gin. Easy to read all year with a gin and tonic in your hand.
