This is a warm-hearted and amusing story set in the small Devon resort of Dingleton (aka Dawlish.)
Jen has lost her mother (died), her husband (had an affair) and her two children (left home to travel and to university) during the last year or so and with her fiftieth birthday approaching, she is made redundant when the museum where she works is put up for auction.
She and her ex-colleagues decide to bid for the museum property and start up a new business which will be a tourist attraction for Dingleton and will
employ local and disadvantaged people.
The love interest is provided by a widowed junior school teacher.
This book has a definite feel good factor, although a bit cheesy in parts.
Suitable for fans of Catherine Alliott and Sophie Kinsella.
