I really want to try and read more books like this, that are based around true historical events. The time period that this book is set in, around the Black Death, is one that has always interested me. However, I'm not sure if this is the book for me to start out with. I would still like to read the rest of it at some point in the future, but I don't know that it's right for me to be reading now. I've said in a few of my previous First Impressions and reviews that I'm a seasonal reader, and that in the autumn and winter time I like historical books or just books with a bit more depth, so maybe I can save this one to read next year.
