This book follows Avery and the Lomond family that she works for in America. Looking after a number of their rentals, Avery forms a close friendship with Sadie Lomond. Following the death of Sadie, Avery is convinced it was not an accident. She works tirelessly to try and get to the bottom of what happened that night.
I read this book on @audible_uk and I have really mixed feelings. I was willing for the story to finish... I don’t think it helped that it was over 10 hours of audio(my longest to date) also coupled with the fact that I really didn’t enjoy the narrator on the Audible version.
However once I finished it, I thought the plot was extremely good and made for a fantastic thriller. I didn’t however but in to any of the characters, I did quite like Connors character but I just didn’t find the relationship between Avery and Sadie genuine.
A really mixed review and whilst I enjoyed the plot, I wouldn’t rush to recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars for me.
