The premise, as I see it, revolves around a disfunctional family, elderly curmudgeon father, downtrodden adult daughter, and her teenage son. If father is so vile, why has she stayed? Where is her son's father? And is the gossip about her father true.... has he done some terrible deeds in the past that have resulted on his stashing away a fortune? And if so, is that money rightfully his?
