Stina Jackson's book The Last Snow is very griping although a slow burn which may not suit everyone but the book is really good. The book is set in a small town near Lapland called Ödesmark. It follows the lives of Liv, her dad Vidar and her son Simon. But we also meet two brothers, Liam and Gabriel. There is a lot of depth to the characters as they don't all get on and their lives are surrounded in mystery. It's so atmospheric. As the book progresses we are able to see the family dynamic. From reading the book you get a sense that Liv although wanting to leave the house is unable to due to her father, Vidar. Vidar is rather wealthy and is in possession of a lot of money that only he has the code to, which Liam and Gabriel want. I like the cover of the book as it links to the title and gives you a sense of loneliness. This is a good crime book that I was able to speed through so I really recommend it!
