I did find the book a bit slow placed at the beginning and it took me a while to get into it, but it did start to speed up around half way through the book. I really liked the writing style, was very descriptive, especially the descriptions of the Swedish forest, which really allow you to visualise the scenery. I thought the book was interesting but not very gripping, so I was not left desperate to know what was going to happen next. I also managed to guess the person behind the crime. The book did have a good plot thou and was a good thriller read.

The Björnlund family keep to themselves and there are rumours that Vidar is very wealthy but lives as a pauper. Liv is a really interesting protagonist, who deals with the judgement from other people in the town as to why she is still living with her father, Vidar and her teenage son, Simon. No one can understand as to why she has not just left. A few year later, someone comes back for revenge, to take back what rightfully is theirs, and we are left with a murder.
