This book was incredible it was hauntingly beautiful and was able to pick up different parts of culture from the book and compare to what I usually read though very different it hooked me from the beginning.
From the dark and mysterious and intriguing character that make you wonder what could be going through their head like Vidar though a man easily I could dislike the mystery is what makes his character the most intriguing.
To provide the warmth to the book the characters of liv and Simpson come in though living a miserable life stuck with their ageing father Vidar they cause quite the gossip.
The thing I actually liked most about the book was the descriptions and beautiful writing style keeping you hooked throughout the book, creating vivid pictures through a wide range of vocabulary like just on the first page " the pools of water glisten like oil" and through a small amount of words created a clear image.
